Here are some e of the books I have written through the years. The choices are as eclectic as I am- vampires to Jesus, fiction to biography.
Kat Devereaux is cursed, not just in a manner of speaking. This is a real Voodoo curse placed on her family over 100 years before she was born. That's what happens when you mess with a Voodoo Queen. Kat and her twin sister are destined to repeat history following the many women of their family who died under that evil death curse. Follow Kat to New Orleans where she searches for answers that just might lie in the arms of a vampire. The only problem, or actually one of many Problems…
Edmonia Lewis, the American sculptor led a life riddled with scandals. The Civil War era artist was unique. She was a mixed race, college educated woman in a man's world. it wasn't easy being a Haitian American, Native American mixed race during the Civil War. Wildfire, as her native relatives named her had an wild spirit in her four foot tall frame. In the midst of accusations of murder and thievery she came out on the top. Her famous sculptures included all the big names in history. She rose to artistic stardom but her enemies were as close as her friends. Over and over they conspired to ruin her reputation and career. At the peak of her success, she would create the most scandalous of sculptures. The unwelcome reception led to a mystery over 100 years old, hidden until now.
In Realm, Twelve year old Daniel is the academy's best demon hunter even though he’s confined to a wheelchair. Video gaming comes alive when students at Archangel’s Academy animate the angel statues in New Orleans’ cemeteries to fight demons. The line between good and evil gets blurred when Daniel must make a choice. He can continue to fight for God without the promise of healing his own injuries or join with Satan who says he can bring his brother back to life. Can he believe the devil? Why won’t God heal him, hasn’t he paid enough for that horrible accident? If he only knew whether his brother had made it to heaven, the choice would be easy.

The rearview mirror had to be lying. Surely, I could get this camper aimed straight after the 309th try? I muttered some unsavory words, not for the first time in the last fifteen minutes of torture trying to park. Stubborn determination pushed me on. I pulled forward again and started to get the 24-foot Airstream, Reba lined up straight. I worked the camper backwards carefully trying to park and Bam! My neck cracked like a whip as the trailer slammed into the utility post. “Damn!”
My trusty 1997 F350 groaned as I slammed it into park to assess the damage. “Well, that’s just peachy.” I looked at the new dent in my 1964 vintage home. “That’s gonna cost a pretty penny. “Water spewed like a geyser from the snapped pvc pipe but thankfully the post held better, and the electric box didn’t look damaged. The word spread fast and before long the campground manager slid in on his golf cart looking quite peeved.
“You really can’t blame me, you’re the one who gave my pull thru spot to that creep Larry!” The manager just shook his head and pulled a metal rod out of the back of the cart which he used to turn off the water. “Just pull up a bit and set up, I will have the water back on in ten minutes.” I did as he suggested and the nosey neighbors, mostly people I work with went back to their own campers. Mitch and Summer, my closest friends, stayed behind to offer help.
“I’ve got this, you don’t have to babysit me.” I could see the looks between them as their precarious control slipped and they burst into laughter. “I told you I would park it for you,” Mitch offered. I gave him my evil death glare and continued lowering my jacks to level the camper. With a shooing motion I told them “Just leave me with my own mess and don’t even say it!” They looked at each other in mock innocence and turned to go. I distinctly heard Summer say it, those dreaded words. “Calamity Jayne strikes again.”
None of this would have happened if that scumbag Larry hadn’t stolen my spot. I had reserved the pull through sight to avoid just this sort of situation. When I arrived at the Key West Camp, I learned the little weasel had taken my reserved spot and scampered off to hide until I had no choice but to take his back in space. Boy, was he going to get a piece of my mind!
